Dr. Pelzman is a national voice for improving the healthcare system. His weekly MedPage Today column “Building the Patient-Centered Medical Home: An Internist’s Journey,” is read by thousands of healthcare professionals every week.

As medical director of Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates, a faculty practice of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Pelzman oversees one of the largest outpatient primary care practices in New York City. In addition to caring for patients, he guides Internal Medicine residents in the practice of outpatient medicine, does research, and develops outpatient curricula.

Dr. Pelzman has long had an interest in practice transformation. Over the years he has worked to develop new ways to deliver care to patients, and focused on inspiring the next generation of medical students, housestaff, and junior faculty to pursue careers in primary care.

Dr. Pelzman received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and began his career as a clinician-educator after completing his residency at the University of California, San Francisco in 1996.

Katherine (Kasia) McCormick is a founding member of the Pelzman Foundation for Healthcare Innovation. She currently sits on the board of the Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation also connected with New York Presbyterian Hospital, a position she has held for over 15 years. Kasia also does volunteer work with the Alliance for Fertility Preservation. Kasia, a native of Poznan, Poland is a former fashion model who speaks four languages fluently, enjoys babysitting her step-grandson and daughter, traveling, photography and working as a volunteer with her local church lunch program. Kasia lives in Manhattan with her husband Doug who is also a Pelzman Foundation for Healthcare Innovation founding board member.

Kevin Brown is Senior Global Real Estate Advisor and Associate Broker for Sotheby’s International Realty, recognized as one of Manhattan’s most respected real estate professionals. Kevin is one of the city’s premier luxury townhouse, co-op and condominium brokers, successfully representing buyers/sellers in over $2 billion in transactions over the last 35 years.

Beginning his professional career studying for a life in the priesthood with the Maryknoll Fathers, Kevin’s interest in the work of the Maryknoll missionaries, who have consistently tried to help people overseas in the poorest of communities, has only grown stronger over time.

Kevin devotes his time, while not selling real estate, to supporting the two foundations where he is honored to be a board member. The first is The Pelzman Foundation for Healthcare Innovation, and the second is Jay Nepal NGO (New Life to Nepal), founded by Alberto Luzzi in 2015 after an earthquake hit Nepal, wiping out 900,000 homes and killing more than 10,000 people.

With an MA in theology from Fordham University as well as an MBA in finance from Baruch College, Kevin combines his passion for real estate with his lifelong commitment to numerous charitable organizations. To that end, a portion of the commissions he receives is directed back to his client’s favorite charity.

Susan is president of FC Modular. She is a proven producer in creating, developing and leading successful businesses servicing the New York City real estate customer base. Through strategic planning and performance management, she has demonstrated success in companies involved in consulting, project management and manufacturing. Susan is effectively committed to organizational health as a path to increasing asset value.
